First settled in Salem MA; moved to Providence RI in 1638. Died between 5 Jun 1682 (record for Thomas Olney Junior) & 9 Oct 1682 (date of inventory). Married 16 Sep 1629 St Albans, Hertfordshire, England (at most 29 years married) to: ![]() Born 1605 St Albans, Hertfordshire, England, died before 15 Jul 1659 Providence, Providence County, RI, at most 54 years Marie Ashton was baptized at St. Albans Abbey, 25 Aug 1605; died probably between 1645 (birth of last known child) & 15 7mo 1659, when her husband Thomas refers to persons who might claim thirds in a piece of land he was selling. She married Thomas Olney at St. Albans Abbey, Herefordshire, 16 Sep 1629. They had 7 children: Thomas, Epenetus, Nabadiah, James, Mary Whipple, Discovered, & Lydia Williams. Mary (Ashton) Onley was sister of James Ashton of Providence and Alice (Ashton) Angell, wife of Thomas Angell of Providence RI. No documentary evidence has been found for a son named Stephen.
