Benjamin BALL, son of John BALL and Sara BULLARD. Born ± 1680 Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts Benjamin BALL, whom Temple in History of Framingham, gives as a probable son of John III of Watertown (see 39) and whom other records give as son of Francis Ball and wife, Abigail Salter, but whose ancestry the writer is uncertain about, came to Framingham in 1703, leased land of Col. Buckminster and married Mar. 29, 1704, Mary Brewer, daughter of John of Sudbury. For those who agree with Temple as to his ancestry and because of the period in which he lived, his generation is consid ered herein as the Fourth. Married 24 Mar 1703 Framingham, Massachusetts to: Mary BREWER Born ± 1680 Children: 1. Benjamin BALLBorn 17 Dec 1704 2. John BALLBorn 16 Jul 1706 Resided in Hopkinton. After his death, his wife married in 1757, Thomas Shaddock. 6. Jacob BALLBorn 28 May 1712 May have emigrated to Newfane, Vermont. and had son born there: Jacob, Possibly Solomon. 7. Thomas BALLBorn 16 Aug 1714, died 1760 Brookfield Massachusetts, 45 or 46 years, buried 1760 Brookfield Massachusetts Settled in Brookfield, Mass., coming from Framingham he built saw and grist mill about 1753 on Five Mile River and owned them util his death in 1760 He was killed by being run over by a team on Shrewsbury Hill. 8.
