Born 22 Jun 1797, died 24 May 1867, 69 years They resided in Princeton Married 2 Dec 1819 (47 years married) to: Elizabeth (Betsey) STRATTON Born 16 Jul 1798, died 1875, 76 or 77 years Children: 1. Charles BALLBorn 17 May 1820, died 7 Sep 1851, 31 years 3. Calvin BALLBorn 24 Oct 1822, died 15 May 1824, 1 years 5. Emeline BALLBorn 14 Nov 1825, died 27 Sep 1828, 2 years 6. Frederick A. BALLBorn 1 Apr 1828, died 17 Apr 1906 Raynham, Massachusetts, 78 years, buried Arms Cemetary, Shelburne, Massachusetts In Dec 1848 he went to Shelburne Falls, Mass. in the employ of Lamson & Goodnow & Co., where he remained in various capacities for fifty-four years. One year as clerk in their store, then in their office as bookkeeper. In 1855 Lamson & Goodno w Mfg. Co. was incorporated and he was elected clerk of the corporation. In Feb 1886 he was made treasurer of the company and held that office until Feb 1885, being a director as well as corporation clerk until he resigned in Feb 1904. Was elected president of the Shelburne Falls Savings Bank Oct 1866 and held that office until he resigned Oct 1902. Held office in the Arms Cemetery Association from its organization in 1856, until its annual meeting in April, 1905. When the grounds became too limited he, with A. K. Hawks, formed a committee to pruchase additional land, lay out and prepare the same for the Soldiers' Monument, completed April 1, 1874.
