Thomas BALL, son of Benjamin BALL and Mary BREWER. Born 16 Aug 1714, died 1760 Brookfield Massachusetts, 45 or 46 years, buried 1760 Brookfield Massachusetts Settled in Brookfield, Mass., coming from Framingham he built saw and grist mill about 1753 on Five Mile River and owned them util his death in 1760 He was killed by being run over by a team on Shrewsbury Hill. Married 9 Feb 1739 Framingham, Massachusetts (20 or 21 years married) to: Hannah WRIGHT Born ± 1714, died 21 Aug 1785, approximately 71 years Children: 1. Hannah BALLBorn 19 Mar 1739 2. Zerubabel BALLBorn 18 May 1742 Resided in Brookfield, Ruthland and Spencer. With 2nd Wife: He enlisted in the Revolutionary War from Rutland. With 3rd Wife: They were living in Schuyer, New York in 1828. 3. Hannah BALLBorn 29 Apr 1744 5. Sarah BALLBorn 30 Aug 1749 6. Abraham BALLBorn 26 Apr 1750, died 1786, 35 or 36 years 8. Silas BALLBorn 23 Apr 1754 Brookfield Massachusetts, died 15 Jul 1807, 53 years, buried 1807 Leverett Massachusetts He studied medicine in Tewksbury with Dr. Kittridge, was a surgeon in the American Army during the Revolution and afterwards was a physician at Leverett, Mass. Was reputed to be very skillful in all branches of his profession. He died July 15, 1807 and is buried in a small cemetery just over in the line from Sunderland in Leverett. 9. Eli BALLBorn 20 Aug 1758 This Eli or one of his brothers was probalby the farther of Horace BALL Listed as this Eli's son. |
