Phinehas BALL, son of Jonathan BALL and Sarah WHITNEY. Born 1716 After death of his farther he was raised by his Aunt Sarah. Martha and Phinehas resided in Holden, in the part later set off to Princeton. Married 6 Jun 1741 to: Martha BIXBY Born ± 1718 of Shrewsbury Children: 1. Daniel BALLBorn 9 Jan 1742, died 23 Feb 1830, 88 years They, Daniel & Lydia, resided first in Holden but removed to Marlboro, NH in 1785 where they located on the farm known as the Abner RUSSELL place on the old road to Pottersville. In 1812, they removed to Troy, NH and bought the Abraham RANDALL place of Simeon Brooks. 3. Abner BALLBorn 8 Apr 1746 Was a settler of Fitzwilliam, NH in 1775. He was in various Massachusetts regiments of the Revolutionary War during 1775-6. It is believed that he was probably killed and consequently did not marry. 4. Elijah BALLBorn 2 Mar 1747 Holden, Worcester Co, Massachusetts, died 10 Nov 1834 Boylston, Worcester Co, Massachusetts, 87 years They resided in Boylston, in the east part of the town, on the road now known as Mile Hill Road, about one mile south of the Wachusett Reservoir. He rendered considerable service in the Revolutionary War and rose in the ranks to 1st Lieutenant. Marriage Notes: Married by Reverend John MELLEN. 5. Benjamin BALLBorn 31 Mar 1750 Is reported to have been in the French and Indian War and never returned It is believed that he was killed early in life and never married. |
